This is how it works with wooden push rings and wooden rims
For the construction of rims for bicycles and wheelchairs, indigenous types of wood, such as ash, birch, and spruce are being used. Frequently, a combination of various types of wood can be found in one rim, or they are even reinforced through the usage of carbon fibres. Beside their little weight and their long service life, the major advantage of our wooden rims is the unique riding comfort. Wood, possessing extraordinary damping characteristics, is still capable to cope with high burdens.
